Library Media Center Vision and Misson Statements
The school media center is a bright and welcoming state-of-the-art facility that provides students and teachers the opportunity to use inquiry skills to read, research, analyze, evaluate, and create using a variety of literacies as a strategy to advance learners in acquiring the 21st century skills needed to be successful and productive citizens.
The Spencer County High School Media Center will:
Work as a collaborative partnership with others in order to meet the needs of its patrons.
Stay on the cutting edge of technology in order to guide learners to use the latest and most up-to-date resources.
Empower students to build informational literacy skills.
Promote Literacy by motivating students to become life-long readers.
Work with teachers to build curriculum lessons and units that promote inquiry learning.
Be a classroom for learning for all ages.
Work with others to measure the outcomes of learning in order to set goals.
