Welcome to Mrs. Barnett’s Second Grade Class!
Dear Students and Parents,
I am so excited that you will be in my second grade class for the school year of 2019-2020! I would like to welcome you to the green pod. Our first day together will be Wednesday, August 7! I have lots of fun things planned for our year together. We will grow an indoor garden, do lots of science experiments, read some great books and become great mathematicians!
As many of you may know I taught fourth grade for many years at SCES. This will be my third year in second grade and I can’t wait!! I am looking forward to a great year with you in second grade next year! I have three kiddos of my own, two of them are in college (UK and EKU) and one is out of college. I have a dog named Sophie, you will hear lots of stories about her adventures next year!
I can’t wait to get to know you next year, we are going to have a great time learning and making new friends! I hope that you have a great summer and I can’t wait to get our year started in August!
Please stop by our open house on Monday, August 5 from 5:30-7:00. You can bring your school supplies by and meet some of your classmates and myself! Have a fabulous summer!
