My name is Gina Pollett, and this is my 13th year of teaching! I taught third grade for 10 years, and I am very excited to be teaching second grade again this year! I am originally from Jeffersontown, and I moved to Spencer County 22 years ago when I married my husband Justin, who was born and raised in Spencer County. I have two children, Ethan and Kylie. Ethan will be heading off to Franklin College in August, where he will study chemistry and play soccer. Kylie will be a Junior at Spencer County High School, where she participates in Choir and Drama. I can usually be found at his soccer games and her drama performances!
I graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Arts, and I earned my Masters in the Art of Teaching at Bellarmine University.
I love to spend my spare time with my family. The beach is our favorite vacation spot, especially Destin, Florida. We also love to spend time at Holiday World. We love cheering on the Cats at UK football games. I have one dog, Benny, that is a Bichon Frise. I also LOVE to read in my spare time (I take books with me to Holiday World & read by the wave pool!) , and it is my hope that I instill a love of reading in every student in my class!
