HO! HO! HO!
Christmas is quickly approaching! (I can’t believe it!!!!!)
Our class Christmas celebration will be FRIDAY,
December 18 at 10:30. (If for some reason school is cancelled, our class celebration will be on the next day of school.) You are invited to attend!! You may also plan on eating lunch with your child following our gift exchange. Please understand that all children are expected to remain at school following our celebration and lunch, as we will be watching The Polar Express to conclude Polar Express week.
We are asking that each child purchase a gift valued at no more than $10.00. If your child is a girl, then you need to purchase a girl’s gift. If your child is a boy, then you need to purchase a boy’s gift. Please make the present some type of toy, not a book or candy. Please wrap the present and send into school no later than Friday, December 11. On the tag of the present, please write “To a girl” or “To a boy” and your child’s name. We will be playing musical presents. This is a fun, fair way for the gifts to be distributed. (PLEASE do not send gifts for specific children for us to distribute as we will not do this.)
**If there is a problem purchasing a gift, PLEASE let me know as soon as possible and I will take care of getting a gift for your child.
We are also asking that you not purchase items for the teachers. We appreciate your thoughts, but it is truly not necessary. IF, you would like to purchase something for us, please purchase something for our classroom. A few things that we need are:
Construction Paper (We need all colors. Ollie’s Discount store has packs of construction paper super cheap!)
Natural color craft sticks
White index cards
Treasure box item
SCOTCH or 3M masking tape—the cheaper tape will not stick to the walls
Broom and dust pan
(The Dollar Tree and Big Lots are great places to find inexpensive things for the classroom.)
One final note: Each child needs to send in $4.00 if you would like for your child to make you a Christmas surprise!
We need the $4.00 donation by December 4th. .
