From building digital stories to bringing 3D ideas to life, our students are growing as Problem Solvers and Empowered Learners while exploring technology in hands-on, innovative ways. ๐ก๐ง๐

๐๐ต๐ด What a special day in Mrs. McGaugheyโs class on Tuesday! ๐พ Cubs got to celebrate the amazing bond with their grandparents in so many fun ways. They sang a song ๐ถ, enjoyed a read aloud ๐, and even worked together on a sequencing activity! โจ Our Cubs shared thoughtful handmade gifts ๐, had lunch together ๐ฝ๏ธ, and wrapped up the day with a trip to the Book Fair ๐. It was a day full of love, laughter, and learning โ a perfect way to grow as Effective Communicators and Engaged Citizens while celebrating family. ๐ At SCES, we Love. Learn. Grandparents Week Reminders ๐ป๐
Please know the name of your child's teacher โ๏ธ
Please arrive no earlier than your assigned arrival time โฐ (30 minute window to sign in & pay for lunch)
Lunch is $6.00 ๐ต (cash or check)
Please park in the bus lot ๐ (marked with signs & balloons ๐)
Guests will enter by the bus lot next to the gym at "Door O"๐ซ
The book fair will be going on all week ๐ (cash, check, or card)
Guests will wait in the front lobby until their class is called ๐พ
It is an instructional day ๐โwe encourage students to stay the whole day.
โข Students leaving early = tardy โ๏ธ
โข Student must have a signed note from their parent/guardian & guest must be on the approved sign-out list in Infinite Campusโ๏ธ
๐โ๏ธ Mrs. Johnsonโs 2nd grade Cubs are putting their math skills into action by learning all about measurement in inches and feet! ๐๐พ
They became Active Collaborators as they worked with partners to measure how tall they are and the length of their arms, legs, and torso. ๐ง๐ฆโจ Math + teamwork = double the fun! ๐๐ข

1. Enter the Middle School bus lot. (red on the map)
2. Look for the signs and balloons welcoming Grandparents.
3. Proceed to the door labeled โ0.โ (yellow on the map)
4. Use "Door 0" to enter and exit SCES for **all Grandparentsโ Day activities**. This will be the only entrance/exit available due to construction.
5. Please share these directions with anyone planning to visit next week.

๐ช๏ธ๐ What an AMAZING learning experience! Mrs. Mooney and Mrs. Abellโs Cubs had some very special visitors travel 11 hours from Mississippi โค๏ธ๐โ Mrs. Mooneyโs grandmother and aunt! They hosted a Q&A session all about Hurricane Katrina to help wrap up the studentsโ book study. ๐โจ Our Cubs showed off their skills as Effective Communicators and Engaged Citizens while asking thoughtful questions and learning from real-life experiences. ๐๐พ At SCES, we Love.
