📐✨ Hands-On Math in Mrs. Abell’s Class! ✨📐 Students in Mrs. Abell’s math classes are learning how to find the area of rectangles in square units this week! What better way to understand it than through hands-on learning with Magna-Tiles and teamwork? 🧩📏 Working together as Active Collaborators, our Cubs built rectangles, measured the lengths and widths, and discovered how those measurements help determine area. Activities like this help students grow as Problem Solvers and Empowered Learners while making math fun and meaningful! 💡📚 Just another great example of how our Cubs love, learn, and lead at SCES! 💙🐾

🍩📚 Sweet Success for Our Readers! 📚🍩 Mrs. Metts' Cubs have been working hard toward their reading goals, and their dedication paid off in a delicious way! As students reached each reading milestone, they earned fun rewards along the way. Last week they celebrated reading over 2,000 pages with some well-earned donuts! 🎉 Our readers showed what it means to be Empowered Learners and Problem Solvers, setting goals, staying motivated, and pushing themselves to keep turning pages. 📖✨ We’re so proud of their hard work and love seeing our Cubs love, learn, and lead—one page at a time! 💙🐾

🐾 Lunch with the Principals! 🐾 Today Mr. Scott and Mrs. Dennis had some very special lunch guests! 🍎🥪 As part of our PBIS rewards, students can earn the opportunity to cash in their coupons for Lunch with the Principal or Assistant Principal. Each month we invite our Cubs to join us for a special lunch where we get to sit, talk, laugh, and celebrate the great choices they are making at school. These lunches are always one of our favorite days because we get to hear about our students’ interests, celebrate their accomplishments, and simply enjoy spending time together. 💙🐻 We are so proud of these Cubs for showing what it means to Love. Cubs in Action! ✨🎬 Our SCES STLP students had an unforgettable day at the KET (chatgpt://generic-entity?number=0) Broadcast Studio! 🎥🐻💙 Students had the opportunity to: 🎙 Explore a real recording studio 🎥 Learn about the professional technology used for filming and broadcasting 🎚 See behind-the-scenes equipment that brings shows to life 🎞 Create their very own movie trailers using industry tools From cameras and green screens to sound boards and studio lighting, our Cubs got a hands-on look at what it takes to produce high-quality media. They stepped into the roles of producers, directors, editors, and on-air talent as they created original movie trailers of their own! And here’s the exciting part… 🇺🇸✨ Some of our students will also be featured in America’s 250th Birthday Special, where they will be reading the Declaration of Independence as part of the celebration! What an incredible honor to have our Cubs represent our school and community in such a historic event. This experience strengthened their skills in communication, collaboration, creativity, and confidence — truly showing what it means to Love. Learn. Lead. 💙 We are so proud of how they represented SCES and grateful to KET for investing in student voice and inspiring the next generation of storytellers and broadcasters!
