💐✨ Mother’s Day “Spa-tacular” in Mrs. Peters’ & Ms. Emily’s Class! ✨💐 What a pamazing day celebrating our incredible moms! 💖 In Mrs. Peters’ and Ms. Emily’s class, our Mother’s Day Spa-tacular was full of love, laughter, and a little relaxation for our special guests. Moms were treated to a variety of fun stations including: 💅 a manicure station, 💇‍♀️ a hair salon station, 🤲 a hand massage station, 📿 bracelet making, 📚 a reading & coloring station, and a yummy refreshment station with cookies, juice, and pretzels! 🍪🥨🧃 Our Cubs were shining as Effective Communicators and Engaged Citizens, welcoming their guests, helping at stations, and showing appreciation for the important women in their lives. 💕 It was a beautiful day full of smiles as we continue to love, learn, and lead together at SCES! 🐾💙

Today at SCES, we had the incredible opportunity to host the two high bidders from our Fall Festival for their Kentucky Derby backside pass experience! 🏇🎟️ We love being able to provide unique, one-of-a-kind opportunities for our Cub families—and this one did not disappoint. 🐾💙 There’s a good chance they even found themselves in the barn with the current Derby favorite… 👀🐎 talk about an unforgettable experience! Hint: Our Cubs might just be getting a cool, encouraging surprise later this week… 🎉✨ Love. Learn. Lead. 💙

🦋✨ Butterfly Release Day in Kindergarten! ✨🦋 Ms. Hutchins and Ms. Marissa’s kindergarten Cubs said a sweet goodbye to their butterfly friends as they released them into the world yesterday! 🌸🌿 Afterward, students came back inside to write about where they think their butterflies will fly and what adventures they’ll have. 💭✍️ Our Cubs were shining as Empowered Learners and Effective Communicators, using their imaginations and writing skills to bring their ideas to life! Such exciting moments of growth, curiosity, and wonder—just another way we love, learn, and lead in kindergarten! 💙🐾

💙🏃‍♀️ Mrs. Mac's Class Fun! 🏃‍♂️💙 Mrs. Mac’s class had an amazing time attending Wildcat Wars at Henry County High School! 🎉🐾 They stayed active by playing games, running races, and enjoying time with friends from three other schools—plus a special McDonald’s treat! 🍟😄 Our Cubs were shining examples of Engaged Citizens, showing teamwork, sportsmanship, and school pride throughout the day. 🙌💫 What a fun-filled experience where our students continue to love, learn, and lead—both in and out of the classroom! 💙🐾

🎭🐾 Bravo, Drama Cubs! 🐾🎭 Our Drama Cubs put on a paws-itively fantastic performance of 101 Dalmatians Kids this past Thursday and Friday! 🐶✨ From the acting to the singing and everything in between, their hard work and talent truly shined on stage. 🌟🎶 They were incredible Effective Communicators and Active Collaborators, working together to bring this story to life and entertain our school community. 👏💬 We are so proud of our performers for showing courage, confidence, creativity, and teamwork. It was a great example of how we love, learn, and lead at SCES! 💙🐾

🏙️✨ Community Connections on Main Street! ✨🏙️ Last Thursday, our first grade Cubs took a special trip to Main Street to visit local businesses and government offices! 🐾💼 They learned all about the different jobs that help our community run and the people who make it all happen. Our students were shining examples of Engaged Citizens and Effective Communicators—asking questions, listening, and showing appreciation to those who hosted them. 💬👏 A big thank you to everyone who welcomed our Cubs and shared their time and knowledge! Experiences like this help us love, learn, and lead beyond the classroom. 💙🐾

Last week one of our Cubs got a cool experience. His family was the winning bidder at this year's Fall Festival. We love being able to provide our Cubs with unique experiences!

Farm Day Fun at Mr. Scott’s Family Farm 🐴🦙 One of our students had an unforgettable day at Mr. Scott’s Family Farm after winning this experience at our Fall Festival! From riding horses to working with llamas and exploring the farm, it was a hands-on adventure from start to finish 🚜🌾 We’re so thankful to our families for supporting opportunities like this for our students 💙 Love. 🐾💙 SCES Cubs Shine at STLP State! 💙🐾 28 of our SCES Cubs proudly represented our school at the STLP State Conference—and what an incredible showing! ✨ 13 Creative Digital Arts projects were named State Semi-Finalists 🏆 Top of the State Honors: 🥈 2nd Place – Documentary 🥈 2nd Place – PSA 🥇 1st Place – Photojournalism 🎤 Our students also stepped up to present a Level 2 project, showcasing their confidence, creativity, and teamwork on a big stage. 💙 One of the most powerful moments was seeing our Cubs lift each other up—cheering on their teammates, celebrating successes, and showing true school pride every step of the way. We are beyond proud of the dedication, creativity, and heart our Cubs poured into these projects. They truly represent what it means to Love. Learn. 🪱🌎 Earth Day Explorations in Mrs. Johnson’s Class! 🌎🪱 Yesterday, our Cubs celebrated Earth Day by digging into the world of worms! 🌿✨ Students read a nonfiction text to learn how worms help our planet, then stepped into the role of scientists as they explored worm parts and habitats. 🔍📚 The learning continued outside with a nature walk to collect materials for their very own worm habitat! 🐾🌱 Students recorded their findings on observation sheets and will check back later this week to see how the worms have burrowed and changed their environment. Our Cubs were true Problem Solvers, Active Collaborators, and Empowered Learners—asking questions, making observations, and learning through hands-on discovery! 💡 What a fun and meaningful way to love, learn, and lead while celebrating our Earth! 💙🐾

🌎💚 Earth Day Fun in Mrs. Lewis & Mrs. Jamie’s Class! 💚🌎 Our Cubs had a wonderful day celebrating our amazing planet! 🌿✨ They explored the beauty right outside our doors with a nature scavenger hunt, got their hands dirty planting seeds, and said a special goodbye to the butterflies they’ve watched grow and transform. 🦋🌱 Throughout the day, students shined as Engaged Citizens and Empowered Learners, discovering ways to care for our world while learning through hands-on experiences. 🌍💡 Such a fun day full of curiosity, appreciation, and growth—just another way we love, learn, and lead at SCES! 💙🐾

It takes a TEAM to keep SCES running strong… and our office team is simply the BEST! 💙🐻✨ 🎉 Happy Administrative Assistant Day! 🎉 👋 Mrs. Nicole is always ready with a smile—answering the door, checking temperatures, and jumping in to help wherever needed! 📋 Mrs. Leanne keeps us on track with attendance AND keeps the office rolling when things get busy (which is… always! 😉). 📊 Mrs. Laura keeps our budget in check as our amazing bookkeeper—but you’ll also find her walking students to class, organizing, and doing whatever it takes to support our school! 💙 At SCES, it’s more than just a job… it’s a TEAM effort every single day.
