Today at 3:51 pm, the administration of Spencer County Elementary School was made aware of a potential threat. It was reported to the Taylorsville Police Department that two adults engaged in a vigorous discussion online in which a potential threat against the school was made.
Upon receiving that report, the Taylorsville Police Department coordinated with their partners at the Spencer County Sheriff's Office to ensure the safety of students during the rest of the dismissal period.
At this time, local law enforcement continues to work all leads and will have an active presence all day tomorrow on campus.

Mark your calendars for **Thursday, September 25th**! We've made the process as sweet and easy as possible for you.
๐ธ What to Expect on Picture Day!
Online Orders: If you've placed an order online, you'll receive a **camera pass** via email. ๐ง You can either print this pass and bring it with your student. The photographer will take a picture of the pass along with your student.

No Camera Pass? No Problem!๐ If your student can't bring their camera pass, don't worry! We will manually match the student to their order during the production process.
Ordering After Picture Day: You can still place an order from the flyer online for up to **24 hours after** picture day. After this time, online ordering may close to allow our team to match up all the orders with the students' pictures.
Getting Your Pictures:
Prepaid Packages: All students who purchased pictures will receive their prepaid package when they are returned to the school.
Proofs for All: Any student who was photographed but didn't buy a package will receive a **proof** of their picture.
Second Chance to Order: All proof packages offer a second chance to order prints, but please note that these orders are subject to a shipping and handling cost of up to $8.50 and will be shipped directly to your home. ๐ฆ

๐๐ต๐ด What a special day in Mrs. McGaugheyโs class on Tuesday! ๐พ Cubs got to celebrate the amazing bond with their grandparents in so many fun ways. They sang a song ๐ถ, enjoyed a read aloud ๐, and even worked together on a sequencing activity! โจ Our Cubs shared thoughtful handmade gifts ๐, had lunch together ๐ฝ๏ธ, and wrapped up the day with a trip to the Book Fair ๐. It was a day full of love, laughter, and learning โ a perfect way to grow as Effective Communicators and Engaged Citizens while celebrating family. ๐ At SCES, we Love. Learn. Please arrive no earlier than your assigned arrival time โฐ (30 minute window to sign in & pay for lunch)
