Students in Mrs. Abell's math classes have been working hard to learn strategies to solve multiplication. Today, they worked to get a medal on IXL on x6-x9. If they earned it, they got to try to beat her at Battleship!







The PTP/GT students started their storybook project by creating characters and matching them with descriptive adjectives. Students combined creativity and learning and we canโt wait to see how their stories turn out!

Mrs. Pollett's class were empowered learners & active collaborators as they learned about text features by reading about owls. On Friday, they dissected owl pellets as a real world connection to how text features can help deepen their understanding.










Last Friday SCES had a special visit from the Kentucky Commissioner of Education, Dr. Robbie Fletcher.
Dr. Fletcher and several memebers of his team were welcomed into classrooms and saw first hand the amazing learning going on daily at Spencer County Elementary.
Members of our Student Council (Leadership) provided a tour of our building including stops in the technology and STEAM classrooms.

3rd grade students enjoyed a field trip to the Kentucky Derby Museum. They were able to explore exhibits, learn about careers at Churchill Downs, and visit the Winners Circle!






Mrs. Sanford's class enjoyed pancakes cooked by the counselors yesterday. Thanks Evelyn, for winning the fall festival auction item!






Our Cubs with birthdays in November visited the vending machine last Friday and chose a book for their birthday. Thanks PTO for this awesome way to make our birthdays special!









SCHS C.A.N. MVPs taught students about healthy habits and being drug free on Halloween. SCES students loved learning from the "big kids"!
