Mrs. Blumeierโs class had an EGG-cellent day of learning. The students were involved in several STEM activities: which eggs would sink or float, which liquid makes a rainbow the fastest, made peep boats, egg stacking challenge, and had a math egg hunt.
Mrs. Mac's class was crackinโ into learning with some EGG-cellent fun! ๐ฅโจ They hunted eggs ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ, created egg-citing number chalk art ๐จ, and even sorted jelly beans like math pros! โ๐๐ฌ Learning never looked so sweet!

KSA Information for 3rd, 4th, 5th
We are excited to share that our upcoming state testingโthe Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA)โis just around the corner! This important assessment measures student progress on Kentuckyโs academic standards and gives students the opportunity to showcase everything they've learned this year. Our testing window will take place from May 7th through May 16th.
Attendance during testing days is critical. It helps students avoid the added stress of makeup sessions and keeps everything running smoothly. Please try to schedule appointments on non-testing days. Thank you!

Countdown to Kindergarten was a blast! ๐ We absolutely loved meeting our new Cubs ๐พ and welcoming them to the SCES family. ๐ซ This is such a sweet place to start their journey ๐ฌ, and we canโt wait to see these bright, smiling faces back in the fall ๐ to kick off an amazing school year! ๐โจ
We are loving day two of our Profile of a Learner work at SCES! We are excited to share more pictures shortly.
Today our 5th graders started their Profile of a Learner Defenses. Mr. Dunning and Mrs. Smith's classes did an amazing job! We are so thankful for volunteer judges and support.
We will host more POL Defenses Thursday and Friday in the SCES Cafe from 9:00 to 10:30.
Our Cubs with birthdays in April visited the vending machine on Friday and chose a book for their birthday. Thanks PTO for this awesome way to make our birthdays special!
5th Grade Families Tonight the Middle School will be hosting a band instrument trial night. This is a come and go event.

This is National Assistant Principal Week. Let's celebrate Mrs. Dennis, our fabulous AP at Spencer County Elementary. Mrs. Dennis is a vital part of our team. She has also served as an instructional assistant, classroom teacher, and instructional coach at SCES. Mrs. Dennis puts our Cubs first and is always trying new and exciting ways to make their days better. She also recently won our school's NCAA men's basketball bracket challenge!
