Attention 3rd - 12th Grades needing summer access to your school accounts!! As part of a state-wide initiative, we will begin using Rapid Identity Automation to log into our district accounts. Each user (staff/student) will be required to use Multi-Factor Authentication. Pictograph Authentication provides a secure and user-friendly option to traditional multi-factor authentication methods for students. Along with username and password, students will create a second password by selecting images (pictographs). Each 3rd - 12th grade student will need to remember 3 pictographs to log into their district accounts. Please do not share your password or pictographs! You are responsible for your account at all times!
Please complete the form below with the requested information. We will review form submissions Monday - Friday and send your first 3 pictographs to your Spencer County Schools App/Rooms account after your submission has been processed. https://forms.office.com/r/s1QXqVFZgd

Attention Cub Families:

Keep this handy for when your Cub starts complaining they are bored!

Today at SCES, we had the honor of celebrating some truly incredible educators and staff members as they begin their well-deserved retirements. ๐๐๐
โจ Mrs. Becky Ingram has dedicated 33 years to teaching and has made a lasting impact on countless students, families, and staff members throughout her career.
โจ Mrs. Laurie Blumeier has served in education for 32 years, including 27 wonderful years at SCES. Her dedication and love for students will always be remembered.
โจ Mrs. Jenny Koestel, our school mental health therapist for the past 5 years, has touched the lives of so many students with her kindness, compassion, and support.
We also want to recognize Mrs. Debby Cannon, who retired in Fall 2025. Many students lovingly knew her as โPrincess Debbyโ while working alongside Mrs. Hutchins. ๐๐
Thank you all for your years of service, dedication, and love poured into SCES. Your impact will continue for generations to come. โค๏ธ We will miss you dearly and wish each of you a joyful, relaxing, and blessed retirement! ๐๐๐

๐๐ The winners of the March AR Challenge officially collected their prize todayโฆ temporary tattooing Mr. Scott & Mrs. Dennis! ๐คช๐ป
The classes with the highest AR points in each grade level got the chance to turn our admin team into walking sticker books ๐
๐ฅ Mr. Scott tried to act toughโฆ until the face tattoos came out.
๐ฅ Mrs. Dennis now has enough temporary tattoos to qualify as a biker member.
๐ฅ At one point we lost count of how many were added.
๐ฅ Turns out reading skills also improve tattoo placement accuracy ๐ฏ๐คฃ
๐ฅ Somewhere in the building thereโs still probably a leftover tattoo backing stuck to somebodyโs shoe.
Our Cubs worked so hard during the March reading challenge, and we loved celebrating all their amazing AR success in such a fun way! ๐โค๏ธ
Reading really does leave a mark at SCES ๐๐

Congratulations to these students in Mrs. Dillโs class who have officially earned the title of Shoe Sheriff by demonstrating they can tie their own shoes! ๐โจ
These Cubs showed perseverance, patience, and determination as Empowered Learners while mastering this important life skill. We are so proud of their hard work and growing independence! ๐ช๐พ
Way to go, Shoe Sheriffs! Keep helping us love, learn, and lead one knot at a time! ๐๐

๐โจ The Floor Was Lava in Mrs. Mooney & Mrs. Abellโs Classes! โจ๐
Mrs. Mooney and Mrs. Abellโs Cubs were busy today shaking off those KSA nerves with an exciting classroom transformation โ because the floor was lava! ๐ฅ๐
Throughout the day, students completed fun challenges, encouraged one another, and worked together as true Active Collaborators and Problem Solvers. Their teamwork, perseverance, and positive attitudes made the day a huge success! ๐ช๐
To top it all off, Cubs earned Pop Rocks as a sweet reward for all their hard work and determination. ๐ฌโจ
We are so proud of these Empowered Learners as they continue to love, learn, and leadโeven when the floor is lava! ๐พ๐
