🌊🐻 Countdown to Kindergarten was a splash-tastic success! 🐻🌊 Tonight at Spencer County High School, we had the BEST time welcoming our newest little learners to the SCES family! 💙 Our future Cubs got to meet our amazing kindergarten teachers, explore what school will be like, and get excited for the year ahead. 🐾📚 They even went home with fun activities to practice over the summer, because learning never stops when you’re a Cub! We are so excited to Dive Into Learning 🌊🐠 with this incredible group next year. ⚾💜 Baseball Day at SCES! 💜⚾ 85 years ago, Jackie Robinson made history by playing his first game as a Brooklyn Dodger—breaking barriers and changing the game forever. 🙌✨ Yesterday, our Purple Pod honored that legacy by celebrating our 2nd Annual Baseball Day with our very own Spencer County Baseball Team! 🐻⚾ It was a fun-filled day for our current Bears and future Bears, full of smiles, teamwork, and school spirit. 💜 Our Cubs showed what it means to be Engaged Citizens, learning about history while celebrating the game and those who inspire us. 🌟 At SCES, we continue to love, learn, and lead—on and off the field! 💙🐾

• Vision Exam (for students under age 7)
• Dental Exam (for ages 5–6)

🎨✨ Clay Creations in 4th Grade! ✨🎨 Our talented 4th graders from Mrs. Browning's class have been working hard with Ms. Pfeiffer. In art class they have been getting their hands a little messy, and a LOT creative! 🙌 They’ve been learning all about: 🌀 How to make clay coils ✏️ The art of scoring & slipping 🖐️ Adding texture and details 🧩 Molding shapes into something uniquely their own And guess what they created using all of these skills… 👀 ❌⭕ One-of-a-kind Tic Tac Toe boards! Each piece is full of personality, creativity, and craftsmanship. Spencer County Elementary is looking for volunteers to help score our Profile of a Learner (POL) defenses! 🐻💙

Our 5th grade students have been working hard to showcase their growth, skills, and readiness for the next step—and we need your help to make this experience meaningful and successful!

As a volunteer scorer, you will:

💻🤖 Tech Night in Action! 🤖💻

Browning, Klaus, & Metts classes hosted an awesome Tech Night where students became the teachers! 👏✨ Our Cubs showed their families how to use classroom technology like Ozobots, Indi Coding Cars, and Sphero robots. 🚗🔵

Students truly shined as Effective Communicators and Empowered Learners, confidently explaining, demonstrating, and guiding their parents through hands-on tech experiences. It was amazing to see their knowledge and leadership on display! 💡💬

We love watching our Cubs love, learn, and lead—especially when they get to teach us! 💙🐾
